Legal Software MyCase now Integrates with QuickBooks, Offering Law Firms Mobility and Convenience in Managing Client Accounts
(Santa Barbara, Calif. – Sept. 10, 2013) – Web-based law practice management software, MyCase, today announces its integration with QuickBooks, the company’s most requested feature. MyCase is the first and only software of its kind to offer this integration free to its customers as part of the monthly software subscription, with only a minor one–time implementation fee. The company also stands alone in extending ongoing training and support as a complimentary part of the system integration.
MyCase is an intuitive Web-based system aimed at servicing the multi-million dollar legal software market, and helps law professionals manage their practices while communicating and collaborating better with their clients.
Matt Spiegel, general manager and vice president of MyCase, noted that many of the same legal firms that use MyCase for billing and receipting use QuickBooks for business accounting, making the integration a natural solution to help lawyers complete their books.
“QuickBooks is the top-rated small business accounting software out there, so it’s no surprise that we share many of the same law firm customers,” Spiegel stated. “We’ve taken the time to develop this integration seamlessly, so that the needs of the market will be fully met. We covered all the bases of what our customers need and want, and are confident that this system integration will help them simplify their workflow and provide even greater service to their clients.”
MyCase allows lawyers to access their email, billing system, documents and more through a secure cloud-based portal or mobile app. The one-way sync of client accounting data into QuickBooks will include invoices, receipts, account information and cash accounting. Both QuickBooks Online and Windows Desktop versions are supported.
“Before this integration, payment management was one of the biggest headaches in our office,” said David Black of The Law Offices of David A. Black, a three-year customer of MyCase. “Now that we can use QuickBooks in conjunction with MyCase, it’s a major benefit not only to our staff but also to our clients because our billing will be faster and more accurate.”
“This integration will eliminate double entry across the two systems, saving time and improving accounting accuracy,” said Spiegel. “Our law practice customers will enjoy a much easier and more accurate accounting experience overall.”
AppFolio acquired MyCase in 2012. AppFolio’s suite of vertical SaaS solutions includes AppFolio Property Manager, RentApp and AppFolio SecureDocs.
