MyCase Customer Conference 2021: New Acquisitions, Features, and an Industry Report
This morning we kicked off our inaugural Customer Conference with a full day of insightful sessions and networking events planned for our customers, ranging from presentations by industry experts and MyCase product sessions to fun-filled networking opportunities and thought-provoking keynotes.
Our opening keynote speeches by Jim McGinnis, CEO, MyCase and Tressa Schultze, Head of Product, MyCase detailed exciting technological advances for the future of MyCase and the steps we’re taking to help law firms thrive by using technology they love.
In keeping with that goal, a number of pivotal announcements were made during these speeches, which provided insight into the key investments MyCase is making to accelerate product development and customer growth.
New Acquisitions: Soluno, CASEpeer, and Woodpecker
In his keynote address, Jim shared the news of three major acquisitions made earlier this year: Soluno (Legal Accounting), CASEpeer (Practice Management for Personal Injury Firms), and Woodpecker (Legal Document Automation). Widening MyCase’s portfolio of legal technology software solutions, these acquisitions will feed into our mission of providing lawyers with the tools they need to succeed in today’s competitive legal landscape:
- Soluno is a cloud-based accounting system suited for law firms of all sizes. They help law firms move from underinvested legacy desktop accounting systems to modern cloud-based software.
- CASEpeer is the only turnkey, cloud-based Legal Practice Management system entirely focused on meeting the unique needs of Personal Injury firms. It’s best in class in managing the unique workflows and challenges of firms that focus primarily on this segment.
- Woodpecker is a one-of-a-kind Word-based, attorney-friendly legal document automation system that empowers law firms to standardize and productize their legal documents. Woodpecker’s online questionnaires and reusable client data module give firms all the tools they need to create end-to-end document drafting workflows, quickly and easily, right in Word.
Each of these acquisitions adds to MyCase’s incredible tech stack. This portfolio of solutions, which are purpose-built to fulfill the unique needs of law firms, further strengthens our vision to help these firms thrive using technology.
Feature Announcements: MyCase Drive and MyCase Accounting
To complement our new acquisitions, this year’s virtual conference showcased new feature additions to the MyCase product, which will soon be available to all customers.
MyCase Drive, the first of our two new features, is a complete desktop document management experience that syncs to MyCase, allowing firms to efficiently find and organize documents using their computer’s file explorer and advanced search capabilities.
And meet MyCase Accounting, which will be available in 2022. Leveraging the expertise of the Soluno team, MyCase will accelerate the development of full-featured accounting within MyCase. This legal-specific accounting functionality will centralize law firm financial data in MyCase, eliminate redundant data entry across multiple systems, and its three-way reconciliation will ensure trust compliance.
